The Windows of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
The centered
panels of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel depict the Last Supper. The pascal
meat at meal at which Jesus instituted the Eucharist and told his Apostles
to “do this in memory of me”.
In the panel the shadow of Judah can be detected in the arched doorway
as he leaves the room.
The two side panels are simple and familiar motifs of wheat –
bread and grapes – wine which are common symbols of the Eucharist.
