General Curriculum:
Beginning in kindergarten and continuing through grade eight, the adopted curriculum at St. Didacus School patterns the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Instruction includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: religion, family life, social science, English, reading and literature, spelling, handwriting, mathematics, science, health, safety, art, music and physical education.
Teaching, Touching Safety:
Vitrus "Teaching Touching Safety" Children's Program
This program is provided to us by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and is a part of our ongoing effort to help create and maintain a safe environment for our children. Parents will be notified when we will teach our touching safety program and are most welcome to visit on that day. |

Curriculum Supplements:
Field Trips:
Each class is permitted up to one eductional field trip per school year. Individual classes are responsible for funding their trips. Additional field trips that are donated may be taken with permission from the principal.
*Excludes end ot the year grade 8 activities.
Reading Lab:
The reading lab is a federally funded program serviced by the Los Angeles Unified School District. Students who are identified by St. Didacus School, and qualify for the program, are provided reading instruction by an on-site L.A.U.S.D. reading specialist.
School Library:
The school library offers our students the opportunity to check out reading materials for pleasure or to supplement a class assisgnment. The students are scheduled to visit our school library at least once a week. The library sponsors our Book Fairs and other library activities.
