Service hour information is sent home in the summer mailing, usually in July of the upcoming school year. It will list positions that will be given 20 hours of credit; most of these positions are chairperson positions held throughout the school year. The names and phone numbers of these persons will be announced in September newsletters.
In order to receive proper credit, it is critical that every family providing service or supply donations turn in your record of service hours.
Only services or requested items listed in the service hour bullitin (occasionally the newsletter) will receive credit.
Incomplete hours are charged at $25.00 per hour after the May 31st deadline date.
If you choose to waive your service hours, the buyout in advance is $250.00 due by the 1st day of school.
All Parents are responsible for selecting opportunities or events for service hour participation.
Families must always sign in and sign out in the office in order to receive credit. Each family will have a separate log sheet to sign in and out on in the office. If both parents are working an event, then both parents will need to sign in to receive credit. Eash family is responsible for keeping track of their hours and filling out and returning thier service hour slips, signed by the chairperson of the event worked, teacher or office staff as soon as you have completed the service.
Each family will be given 1 page of Service Hour slips. Additional slips are available in the main office or click here. Families are asked to keep track of their hours on the left hand side of the slips before tearing off the right hand portion and turning it in. |
